8500 Years a Day Route

We are waiting for all the people of Izmir and the guests of Izmir on our tour, where you can observe the historical heritage of Izmir, starting 8500 years ago and up to the present day. Our tour is planned as a journey from the past to the present, covering 4 different ruins. Our tour, which started with a visit to Yeşilova Mound, where the first traces of settled life in İzmir were found 8500 years ago, takes you back 5000 years with the impressive structures in Yassıtepe Mound. Then, the Old City of Smyrna (İzmir), also known as Bayraklı Smyrna, takes you back 2900 years and presents the splendor of the Temple of Athena, one of the earliest Greek temples in Anatolia. Finally, we go back 2300 years in New Smyrna (İzmir) and end our tour with the sound of the water that has been flowing for 2,000 years while walking among the majestic columns of the Agora.
