İris Lake
Within the borders of Küçükbahçe Village of Karaburun, Lake İris is one of the areas where birds stay during migration. Little egret (Egretta garzetta), gray heron (Ardea cinerea), yellow wagtail (Motacilla flava) and hawk (Buteo buteo) are seen in the area. The reed (Phragmites spp), kofa (Juncus spp) and many plant species found around the lake host other creatures. In addition, the presence of small hilly areas around it is one of the factors that increase the diversity of species. Iris Lake is a private property land. Due to the construction of irrigation channels in the lake, the lake came to the brink of drying up, but these studies were stopped and the lake was restored to its natural state.
