Degaj
Degaj is an area located in the south of Gediz Delta, where birds feed intensely and spend the night. Many flamingos, cormorants and seagulls come to the area to spend the night at sunset. So much so that sometimes it is possible to see approximately 10 thousand flamingos (Phoenicopterus roseus) together in a single spot. Bird species such as tangle picker (Arenaria interpres), Mediterranean gull (Ichthyaetus melanocephalus), linnet (Linaria cannabina) are also seen in the area. The salty steppes, salt meadows and coastal marshes in the region create living spaces for living creatures. In addition, the dance of flamingos can be watched closely, especially in March-April.
