Çamlık Train Station

Çamlık Train Station is the last station of the İzmir - Aydın train line before Aydın. The historical station is located about 600 m north of the current station. The historical station was opened by the Ottoman Railway Company on 1 July 1866 as part of the railways from Izmir (Smyrna) to Aydın. The Ottoman Railway Company, with all its assets, was bought by the State Railways in 1934. Built in 1866, the historic station remained in service until 1976, when the railway was reorganized and the current station was built. In 1991, Çamlık Railway Museum bought both the old station and the old railway line and started exhibiting Turkey's largest steam locomotive collection.
